Ramon Rawsoul - ATL House In The Park

Step into the room. The crowd is lost in a cloud of sound waves. It moves their souls. Sends chills down their spines. There is love making through movement. Desires rise and fall in the midst. The day's worries pass away and the crowd gets lost on Mars or Jupiter.

There is no habitual rotation. No mixtures of superficiality and vanity. Just good ole' deep house and disco. It is music like you've never heard before, fit for all people, all experiences, all realities and all backgrounds.

In the shadow of the pulpit, there lies the master of ceremonies. The mind behind the madness. Mastering the art of mixing. It's Rawsoul.

Ramon Rawsoul that is... Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, he was reared with house music in the neighborhood. When he was coming up, house music came to widespread attention as records were imported directly from Chicago to dominate the playlist of Europe's most influential DJ's. He was there at the house party. He watched it grow with virtually no support from radio networks. Three house records forced their way into the top ten and Ramon Rawsoul was open.

He studied the "Father" of house music Ron Hardy, who had already effected a continuous music mix -- with reel-to-reel machines plus a dual-turntable setup -- at Chicago's Muzic Box. Rawsoul also listened to house music greats Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Lil Louis, Gene Hunt, Pharris Thomas and Lee Collins.

Later, he partied with the now internationally renowned Dj Rush, Ron Trent and Ron Carroll in Kings and Queens and the Reactor. After discovering a natural talent and passion for spinning, he's been in love ever since.

Aside from making you move, lose control, and forget your problems, his vision is to create cohesiveness amongst the local Atlanta Dj's, where they can play and promote parties together, and forget about petty competition and egos. He wants Atlanta's entire Underground scene to get the recognition and support it deserves.

"There is no better feeling than playing the music you love, for others who have the same love for it."

Rawsoul is what Atlanta's been waiting for. His parties have been known to keep people on their feet till eight in the morning. Reared and raised by Chicago's roots, his influential mixing style, passion for real music and love for people are bound to keep you wanting more deep "RAW" soul.
