Born in Miami, FL, Farah-Lissa Alexis began her journey towards musical success at the tender age of 3, when she began singing in her church's choir. Her passion for poetry at 6 years old, fueled her pursuit of songwriting. She would continue to expose her mind & ears to different styles of music, eventually producing a sound that she would call her own. Her influences include Jazz, Gospel, Haitian Kompa, Soul, Funk, Afro-beat, & World music, to name a few. Attempting to categorize her music seems futile, for you will find a hint of many genres in her work. In this effort, she has created her own sound: FUSION. Earning the title of "the Empress of Fusion", Farah-Lissa has embraced her versatility & appreciation for diverse styles, incorporating these influences in her music. Professionally trained in voice & instrument, she's well equipped for any music opportunity that comes her way.

Her debut EP is set to showcase many of these styles that have groomed this talented musician. "Groovy", a marriage of Soul, Funk, R&B, & Jazz, displays the impressive vocal range of this budding songstress. With riffs, whistle notes, and vocal drops, this record is very much a ride on Groovy waves of unpredictable highs, lows, twists and turns. "I Wanna Be High" surprises the ears with jazz styled pizzicato notes and sweet subtly in melody that reminds us that this artist is truly multi-faceted. An acoustic blend of Reggae, Jazz, & Soul, Farah-Lissa's "I Wanna Be High" most definitely leaves you in an elevated state of mind and spirit.

With a song repertoire of over 120 songs written in the past 3 years she is taking this industry by storm. From Pop, to Gospel, to Hip Hop & R&B, Farah-Lissa writes it all. A multidimensional writer of multiple genres, including Acoustic, Folk, Country & Rock styles. Creating works in English, French, & Haitian Kreyol, this lyricist & composer is an international gem . Known for her strong work ethic, business sense, & attention to detail, Farah-Lissa is proud to be an artist who is reshaping the way the industry & the world perceive young professionals, women, & people of color.

With her Debut single "Infinity", Farah-Lissa, showcases her strength in writing and arranging hit records with an approach that is both musically creative and conscious, while maintaining its commercial marketing potential. "Infinity" is just a hint of what is next to come. and a dash...

With an eclectic style, creative mind, & the chops to back it up, it's no surprise that Farah-Lissa effortlessly blends World/Caribbean music with a heavy hand of Soul/R&B and a "Dash" of Hip Hop. She's able to shift her vocals from an angelic & delicate tone such as the understated Amel Larrieux to a strong & raspy sound reminiscent of the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill. Farah-Lissa seems to be the perfect blend of soulfulness, uniqueness, and true lyricism. Her upcoming project debuts this throwback style in the record "Do Me Like That" where she sings jazzy notes over an old school hip hop track.
