Soul Artist, Diya Kareem releases SEE YOU

With poise, composure and charm Diya Kareem invites you to pay attention to his romantic lyrics that tell a story of life’s emotional ups and downs.

He was born and raised in the Bay Area, which is the home of many social movements so, its no wonder that he has a movement of his own called the "Organized Soul Movement."

"San Francisco is the freest place on earth," he says. "I’ve never been afraid to express myself here."

Drawing inspiration from soulful artists like singers R. Kelly, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Brian McKnight and Marsha Ambrosius, Diya says he admires artists who can write, produce and sing like he does. He also is inspired by old school soul of artists like Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding as well nineties hip-hop like Ice Cube and A Tribe Called Quest.

Hearing his songs "Miss You" and "Satisfy You" make any woman wish he would show up at her door with a bouquet of roses and fulfill her deepest desires. While on the other hand his songs "O" and "Off My Mind" have the ability to energize the soul and get the party started.

Expressing himself with style and flair, Diya has a look as diverse as the artful beats that he creates, rotating between smart and sharp to neo soul to funky hip-hop. He embodies the classic soul.

His song "Love, Space and Time" reveals his intellect as he realizes his need for freedom as well as his need for security and stability. "The song is about two people who were interested in each other but they weren’t able to make it happen for some reason or another," said Diya. "I like asking questions and putting myself in those type of scenarios when I’m writing my songs."

Diya says that he has been singing for as long as he can remember. He recalls singing along to his favorite musicians including the King of Pop Michael Jackson, epic vocalist Luther Vandross and the melodic group The Whispers. When Diya sings he proves to you that this is what he was meant to do.

"It’s my music, it’s my goal, it’s my vision."
