A Night With KRS One - LA 7/28

Event Date: Wednesday, December 31, 1969

Amoeba Hollywood presents A Night With KRS One

Wednesday, July 28th at 6pm

The Details:

KRS One is coming to Amoeba Music Hollywood on Wednesday, July 28th at 6pm.

KRS One will be doing a private lecture/Q&A and book event with the legendary KRS ONE, a.k.a. 'The Teacha'.

This is different than our usual in-stores. Please be clear that this is not a performance per se. Due to the intimate nature of this event and space constraints, Amoeba will sell advance Gospel of Hip Hop packages. Includes a copy of the book on event date, guaranteed space in signing line to meet KRS One and a ticket to hear KRS One speak and answer questions in Amoeba's Jazz Room.

Package price is $25 and they will be available at Amoeba Hollywood now, while they last! All tickets/book orders are final sales

About the book:

The Gospel of Hip Hop: First Instrument is the philosophical masterwork of KRS One. Set in the format of a Hip Hop holy book, this 800-plus-page opus is a spiritual manual for citizens of Hip Hop Kulture that combines classic philosophy with faith and practical knowledge, for KRS One's, in-depth exploration of Hip Hop as a life path. Known as "the Teacha," KRS One developed his unique outlook as a homeless teen in Brooklyn, New York, engaging his philosophy of self-creation to become one of the most respected emcees in Hip Hop history. As Hip Hop's true steward, KRS One painstakingly details the development of the culture and the ways in which we, as "Hiphoppas," can and should preserve its future.
