SPOTLIGHT: Live Hart - Featured Artist

'Live' is defined as 'exciting; something very enjoyable, a word used to express how good something is or something happening that's got a vibe!

'Live' is Live Hart and her music. This aspiring singer/songwriter knew at a very early age that the creative urges inside her had to emerge and be heard. Live writes from personal experiences that are common and complex, free-flowing and thought-provoking. She has always enjoyed sharing her deeply-inspired thoughts with the world.

During the earlier stages of her career, Live was a part of the R&B girl group called Urbanesque and spent several years working under the direction of multi-platinum producer Veit Renn (N'sync, Backstreet Boys). While working with Renn and the group, she was inspired to further pursue her artistic endeavors. With fierce determination and countless hours of devotion, she taught herself to play guitar while she continued to chronicle the experiences and thoughts she had carried inside for years; thoughts and experiences that would become songs.

Since then, Live has worked with and has written songs for many other artists. Her most recent rendering, 'The Rain', was recorded by newcomer Rachel Black. She has also been creatively linked to super soul/funk singer Honey Larochelle (Brand New Heavies, Macy Gray) and good friend, Shaun Fisher (Mandy Moore, Gloria Estefan) on several writing and recording projects. Live has already been recognized for some of the songs that are to appear on her upcoming album, she also received a 2008 Effigy Award Nomination for 'Best Song in Style R&B' for 'Please Don't Say It's Over'. Live was also a 2008 MMI/Fame Games Finalist for its 'Track of the Week' and remains a favorite on the very popular online radio show Fame Games (www.meermusic.com).

More of these songs are in the process of becoming Live Hart's first full-length album which will be released this year. Shaun Fisher is on board as producer and is working to further define and refine her soul, R&B and pop style into what they label as 'Alternative Soul'.
